The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit

PHA

The Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) is an annual requirement for all active duty service members during their birth month. PHA appointments are essential to assess numerous various aspects of care as they relate to a specific service members need. During the PHA Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) requirements and Deployment-Related Health Assessments are identified, preventative health education and occupational driven screenings are conducted, and medical referrals are placed as needed.

Every active duty service member must complete an online self-assessment prior to their appointment date. Please report to the Military Physicals office or call to begin process.  At the conclusion of that visit the PHA follow-up appointment will be scheduled with an MHP Provider. The second appointment must take place in order for the PHA to be updated in the Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS). *The second appointment may be conducted via the telephone.
PHAs are booked via Military Physicals office at DSN: 629-6282 or COMM: +39 081-811-6282.
*If you are stationed at a remote location please contact us directly.
